Luena Quartz With Cascading Phantoms!

Luena, Congo, is known for its classic cascading quartz crystals, displaying a smoky color with distinctive phantom-like formations. Recently, the region has produced mostly clear to smoky cascading quartz with well-defined phantoms, while its famous counterpart, Citrine has become increasingly rare. The crystals from Luena are characterized by subtle smoky tones and intricate phantom layers within the quartz. Located in a highly remote area, access to the Luena deposits is challenging. Transporting the material down the mountainside on motorbikes adds further difficulty, making it difficult to prevent specimen breakage.
